• Thinking Outside The Box •

Uncle Sam wants You in a used, corrugated box kind of way. That’s the way Mark Langan sees it. Mark uses corrugated material to create his one-of-a-kind masterpieces. I’m talking about cardboard boxes-used cardboard boxes from his friends and neighbors trashcans.

Mark placed his focus on corrugated art since 2004 and creates masterful art as well as commissioned pieces for other companies to adorn their boardrooms with. He markets to packing companies, corrugated manufacturers, packing companies and recycling firms.
Asked what corrugated art is, Mark says: “My personal interpretation to the term “Corrugated Art” is the celebration of the unique properties of a highly visible manufactured product for which it was not purportedly intended. Striving to artistically focus by highlighting those aesthetically characteristic qualities which otherwise would be unknowingly ignored.”

Mark uses only recycled materials in his art and makes a point of not stressing the ‘green’ label. Although his motto is “reduce, reuse, recycle”, he is realistic enough to not claim that “he’s making a huge dent in reducing waste material going into landfills.”
